We Are Seeking a Massage Therapist

Our Registered Massage Therapist is sadly leaving us after 25 years of dedicated service. She leaves behind a full roster of loyal clientele.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Massage Therapist to join our wellness team as an independent contractor, renting space, paying a capped percentage.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and talented therapist.

The ideal candidate will provide professional massage services and work closely with the chiropractor to provide the most beneficial and comprehensive treatment that promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and improves overall well-being for clients.

Duties

• Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or other modalities.

• Assess client concerns and develop personalized treatment plans to address specific issues or preferences.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and relaxing environment by adhering to sanitation and safety standards.

• Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend appropriate wellness practices or products.

• Keep detailed records of treatments provided and monitor client progress over time.

• Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere and addressing client questions or concerns professionally.

• Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and continuing education requirements to enhance skills.

Experience

• Previous experience in massage therapy or related health and wellness fields is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates.

• Strong customer service skills are essential for building rapport and ensuring client satisfaction.

• Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with clients, understand their needs, and explain treatment options clearly.

• Certification from an accredited massage therapy program is required; licensure or certification must be maintained according to provincial regulations.

• Graduates of the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program are welcome.
