Range of Motion

Range of motion is the measurement of movement around a specific joint or body part.

Flexibility can be defined as the range of motion around joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles or bones.

Range of motion may be limited due to factors including pain, stiffness, swelling or related to an injury or surgery.

Having a good range of motion within the limits permitted by a specific joint (for example, the knee only bends in one direction, but the wrist can move in many directions) is important for good general health, injury prevention and quality of life.

If you’re experiencing a decrease in a joint’s range of motion, we have therapies that can help. Please call the office for more information or to book your appointment. 519-258-8544
